DANIELLE BISHOP – PRESIDENT
A native of Pinehurst, NC, Ms. Bishop began her hotel career with The Pinehurst Company after graduating from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at UNC-Chapel Hill. After completing the Manager in Development program at The Homestead in Hot Springs, VA, she returned to her hometown to work in the sales department at Pinehurst Resort. Following Pinehurst, she served as the Director of National Accounts for The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA.
Through a decade of luxury resort experience, it became evident that there was a serious need in the market to help connect qualified clients with the nation’s premier independent resorts and hotels. With the help of industry friends, HB Hospitality emerged after the success of the very first Independent Resorts Insurance Summit at Pinehurst Resort. Since then, her mission has been to “Connect Exceptional People to Extraordinary Experiences.”
Danielle has recently been featured in Triangle Business Journal’s 2016 40 Under 40 as well as named one of The 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry for 2016 by Successful Meetings.
A casual golfer and a serious entrepreneur, Danielle resides in Durham, North Carolina with her husband Zach, sons Whitaker and Winston, and dog Sammie.
ZACH BISHOP – MANAGING PARTNER AND GENERAL COUNSEL
Zach joined the Company in 2018 as Managing Partner and General Counsel. Prior to joining the Company, Zach was a partner with the law firm Wyrick Robbins. Previously, Zach was an attorney with the law firms of Hunton & Williams and Alston & Bird. Zach received a BA from Duke University in 1998, and a JD from Tulane Law School in 2001.

Cindy joined the team in 2015 as Account Director with more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and management with boutique luxury resorts across the country. She provides the highest level of results through knowledge, intuition, and professionalism. She has established herself as an influential leader in the industry as well as a mentor among her colleagues.
Cindy resides in Holly Springs, NC with her husband Kevin, and their two busy teenagers, Ryan and Catherine.

Janele is proud to have joined the HB Hospitality team in October 2016. With her passion for hospitality in mind, she graduated from Johnson and Wales University, Charlotte with a B.S. in Hotel Management. Previously, she represented the Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond Umstead Hotel & Spa in Cary, NC as Senior Sales Manager.

MEREDITH DEWALD – COMMUNITY & MARKETING DIRECTOR
Born and raised in North Carolina, Meredith is the spring 2013 intern that never left. Since joining HB Hospitality as the first full-time employee in June 2014, she has worn many hats within the office, including: event planning and organization, CRM, internal and external data management, social media, and most recently, Hive queen.
Meredith lives in eastern NC with her husband, Jonas, and their handsome yellow lab, Moose. On the weekends, you’ll find her at her brother’s college baseball games, in the garage learning how to use power tools, or throwing a squeaky tennis ball on the beach with Moose.

A native of Charlotte, North Carolina, Courtney graduated from NC State University in 2014. Her passion for special events and a degree in Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management led her to join HB Hospitality in April 2015. As Program Manager, she is responsible for planning and coordinating showcases and summits, creating event materials, and is continuously learning about potential and existing client hotels and resorts.
Courtney recently moved to Durham, NC, and she loves traveling, going to the beach, drinking IPAs, binge-watching netflix, and spending time with her friends.

North Carolina born and raised, Mary discovered her passion for hospitality and events by working in corporate incentive trips after graduating from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2014. As a Program Director at HB Hospitality, she is responsible for onsite logistics and ensuring that both hoteliers and planners find all HB events fun and productive!

ASHLEY HART – PROGRAM MANAGER
Ashley moved to the Durham area in 2007 after graduating from the University of Illinois. Her love of travel and admiration for the level of exemplary service that luxury hotels provide led her to join the HB Hospitality team. As the Client Relations Coordinator, Ashley works hard to ensure current client satisfaction, as well as securing new clients who manage high-level meeting and events.
Ashley resides in Durham with her husband Chance, sons Keegan and Holden, and dog Piper. She enjoys traveling to new places, exploring restaurants, and volunteering at her sons’ preschool.

MAGGIE WELLS – MARKETING COORDINATOR
Maggie is from Clinton, NC is currently attending UNC Wilmington where she will graduate in May with a BS in Business Administration with a double concentration in Marketing Strategy and Business Analytics. She began as an intern in October of 2017, started part-time in January of 2018, and will be staying on full time in May of 2018. She is responsible for running all social media facets, putting out newsletters, updating, maintaining, and creating Hive content, and helping with anything that needs to be done.
Maggie plans to move to Raleigh in May with her best friend, Fallon (an Australian Shepard/poodle mix). On the weekends you can find her with her friends back at Wrightsville Beach or exploring Raleigh.

Lekil recently joined the HB Hospitality family as a Special Project Coordinator. With years of experience in data management and customer relations, Lekil is able to effectively maintain client accounts, all while working toward receiving her Salesforce Administrator Certification.
She resides in Durham, NC with her 3 animated sons, Levi, Liam, and Chris. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, and being adventurous!

GRAY FERGUSON – CLIENT RELATIONS COORDINATOR
Gray Ferguson started out her career in hospitality at The Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas. After moving around the country with her husband working in restaurants, they settled in Durham in 1998. She managed Pop’s Trattoria before starting Durham Catering with Tom and worked there until her twins were born. After a brief stint at another of Tom’s ventures, Rise Biscuits and Donuts, Gray stayed home with her girls for several years. She’s happy to be back working again, calling event planners around the country and inviting them to fabulous luxury showcase events for HB Hospitality.
